Hello there! I’m Jessica Zander, a garden mentor and advisor located in the Boston area (zone 6b). I offer virtual consultations to individuals all across the United States and Canada.
My passion for gardening ignited back in the early 1990s, and in 2022, I established You Can Do It Gardening to empower people to feel more self-assured in their gardening pursuits.
After a 30-year career in nonprofit finance and operations, I made a transition out of that field in mid-June of 2023, driven by the increasing demand for coaching services. Surprisingly, my years of presenting financial reports to boards and finance committees turned out to be valuable experience for educating folks about gardening! I take pleasure in sharing my expertise, providing helpful advice and recommendations, and efficiently collaborating with clients to bring about significant improvements to their outdoor spaces, whether they’re small or expansive. Additionally, I regularly conduct teaching sessions at Arlington Continuing Education and Cambridge Adult Education.
My approach is straightforward and pragmatic, reminiscent of Mary Poppins, but customized to suit your garden’s needs. Clients derive satisfaction from saving money and taking pride in their own gardening accomplishments.
